Jotun, one of Oman’s top paint manufacturers, has opened a new warehouse and sales office in Salalah on Samharam Street, Awqat Industrial Area, as part of its ambitious expansion plans.
Jotun’s new facility was inaugurated by Mohammad Ali Sultan, director of the Board and Bjorn Skjelby, general manager, Jotun Paints Oman on December 1, 2015. The new warehouse, which shares close proximity to customers, has offices and a meeting room to ensure a comfortable working environment.
Spread over a total area of 1500 square metres, the new warehouse has been designed keeping the environment and safety aspects in mind. The energy-saving daylight system allows the flow of natural light into the warehouse, which also has a unique ventilation system.
Great importance has been accorded to safety aspects and a safe working environment. The warehouse is equipped with a fire-fighting system in keeping with international safety norms.
Speaking on the occasion of the launch, Bjorn Skjelby, general manager, Jotun Paints Oman said, “Jotun has been in Oman for the last 30 years, and has continuously been investing to develop our organisation, manufacturing capacity and distribution in Oman. Our recent investment is a new state-of-the-art warehouse and office facility in Salalah will further strengthen Jotun Paints to the top number one spot in paints. As Salalah and the Dhofar region are developing rapidly, Jotun Paints is committed to supporting positive development, with further improved services for our customers.”
To meet the ever-increasing demand, Jotun Paints Oman is all set to augment its production capacity with a new factory being commissioned in the Rusayl Industrial Area in Muscat earlier in January this year, complete with a warehouse and administrative offices.
